Moving to the roofs

Most of my solar posts up until now have been about applications that you can see by walking in the streets. That's been the easiest to photograph and there are plenty of examples.

However, in the discussions I've been having, people have been mentioning more and more roof top solar projects. I've been looking on Google Maps and seen that this is where the bigger projects are in D.C.

This post is to let you know that I'll be moving more to the roofs. I'm approaching teams within buildings and man is it tough.  I currently have five buildings I'm looking at and in each instance, I've been passed off to five different people saying they can help me.

Other approaches include photographing from even higher buildings, using a video drone, climbing the building in question, or elevating my camera on a pole. Does anyone have any better ideas?
